Hello All,
It's been quite a week! As you may have noticed, I've worked to tweak my shop, add some merch, and have worked to keep up with contacts. I'd love to say that I'm getting to know a number of people who are, at the very least, interested in talking about my shop items, but the truth? Well the truth is that the only folks who are reaching out, are those who want to tell me all about the big money I can make if only I am willing to hire someone, on commission, of course, to help improve sales, the website, etc..
Admittedly, I do need to improve on shop sales. But the thing is that my shop is mine; I'm the sole proprietor and so I get to do all the stuffs:
- Make the inventory
- Photograph the inventory
- Edit the images
- Create promotional images and post to social media
- Figure out Pinterest (holy moly it has changed so much!!)
- Design new items to add to the inventory
- Figure out packaging
- And on and on
Mind you this is fun for me--all of it! I have faith that as folks sample my items, word of mouth will help find others who would make purchases. In the meantime, I'll also continue to produce videos that show how viewers/potential customers can make the items I offer for themselves.
If nothing else comes of this shop, it is my hope that a community can spring up to share ideas and the enjoyment of making stuff with paper!
